Responsibility of Peer Reviewer

Peer reviewers play a vital role in maintaining the scholarly quality of Jurnal Didactical Mathematics. Reviewers are expected to critically evaluate manuscripts within their area of expertise and provide constructive, objective, and ethical feedback to assist authors in improving the quality of their work.

Before Accepting a Review Assignment

  • Ensure that the manuscript topic aligns with your academic expertise. If not, promptly inform the editor and, if possible, suggest an alternative reviewer.
  • Confirm your availability to complete the review within the stipulated two-week period. If additional time is required, notify the editor immediately.
  • Disclose any potential conflicts of interest prior to conducting the review. If uncertain, consult the editorial office for guidance.

Review Criteria

  • Title: Clearly reflects the content and focus of the manuscript.
  • Abstract: Accurately summarizes the objectives, methods, and key findings.
  • Introduction: Clearly presents the research background, problem statement, objectives, and relevance to existing literature.
  • Originality: Demonstrates novelty and contributes meaningfully to mathematics education research.
  • Scope: Aligns with the aims and scope of the journal.

Methodological Evaluation

  • The research design and data collection procedures are clearly and accurately described.
  • Theoretical frameworks and references are relevant and appropriately applied.
  • Sampling techniques and research instruments are suitable and sufficiently explained.
  • The methodology provides adequate detail to allow replication.
  • Any novel methods are clearly justified and described in detail.

Results, Discussion, and Conclusion

  • Results are presented clearly, systematically, and objectively.
  • Appropriate analytical or statistical techniques are employed.
  • The discussion interprets findings in relation to relevant theories and prior studies.
  • Conclusions are supported by the results and outline meaningful implications or recommendations.

Tables, Figures, and Writing Quality

  • Tables and figures are clear, relevant, and enhance the interpretation of results.
  • The manuscript is written in clear, coherent, and grammatically correct English.
  • The writing style is academic, focused, and logically structured.

Ethical Considerations and Confidentiality

  • All review materials and reviewer comments are strictly confidential.
  • Reviewers must not contact authors directly or share manuscripts with third parties.
  • Suspected ethical issues such as plagiarism, data fabrication, or falsification must be reported to the editor.
  • Comments should clearly distinguish between those intended for the editor and those suitable for authors.
