The Leadership Style of School Principals as a Lever for Academic Success: The Case of Secondary Schools in the City of Benguerir

Abstract

Dans cet article, nous nous penchons plus particulièrement sur la dimension du leadership au cœur des pratiques managériales dans les administrations des collèges de la ville de Benguerir, au Maroc. Notre objectif est d’analyser les influences des styles de leadership pratiqués par les directeurs d’écoles secondaires sur la réussite scolaire des élèves. Pour ce faire, nous adoptons un cadre d’analyse basé sur la perspective de « faire sens par les acteurs » et la triangulation des sources. Ce cadre considère la réussite scolaire comme une variable indépendante, le style de leadership comme une variable dépendante et le climat scolaire comme une variable intermédiaire. Les résultats de notre recherche mettent en évidence l’impact positif des styles de leadership participatif et de compromis. Ces styles assurent un équilibre managérial entre l’accomplissement des tâches et le bien-être du personnel, favorisant ainsi le développement professionnel. Ils garantissent également une forte probabilité de prise de décision éclairée, des résultats éducatifs positifs, la satisfaction du personnel, un sentiment d’appartenance, un climat psychologique favorable et une cohésion d’équipe.
