Abstract

The ability to listen is the most important part in supporting a child's development, which is related to cognitive, social, and emotional aspects. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of students' listening abilities through the storytelling method. This research is classroom action research with two cycles, each cycle carrying out two action sessions consisting of four activity stages, namely the planning stage, implementation stage, observation stage and reflection stage. The subjects of this research were 22 class II students at SDN Sinarmanah, Rancakalong District, Sumedang Regency. Data collection techniques use observation, learning results tests, and documentation. The research instrument used was a learning activity observation sheet. The results of research regarding improving listening skills through the Storytelling method in class II students at SDN Sinarmanah, Rancakalong District, Sumedang Regency, are an increase in the quality of listening learning which includes teacher skills, student activities, and learning outcomes.
