Implementation of Independent Values in the Pancasila Student Profile through the Symbolic Meaning of the Jetis Sidoarjo Milkfish Shrimp Batik Motif: An Ethnopedagogical Approach in Pancasila Education Learning

This study aims to analyze the symbolic meaning of the Jetis Milkfish Shrimp Batik motif in Sidoarjo and examine its implementation as an ethnopedagogical medium in strengthening independent values in the dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile in Pancasila Education learning. The research approach used is descriptive qualitative with observation, interview, and documentation methods. Data were analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions with source triangulation techniques to maintain validity. The results show that the Jetis Milkfish Shrimp motif has a symbolic meaning of independence, hard work, and responsibility of the Sidoarjo community as a productive coastal area. The implementation of independent values in learning is carried out through an ethnopedagogical strategy that links the philosophy of batik with reflective activities and local culture-based projects. The learning outcomes show an increase in students' awareness of the values of personal responsibility, learning independence, and pride in national culture. Thus, Jetis Milkfish Shrimp Batik can be used as an effective contextual medium in character learning based on the Pancasila Student Profile.
