Abstract

ABSTRACT

This study aims to: (1) describe the strategies implemented by the principal in the digital transformation through the use of Chromebooks at SDN 01 Gondangmanis, (2) identify the challenges faced by the principal in the process of implementing this technology, and (3) explore the efforts made by the principal to overcome these challenges, particularly in enhancing teachers' skills in utilizing technology. This research employs a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including in-depth interviews, direct observations, and documentation. The data validity technique used is source and method triangulation, by comparing the results of interviews, observations, and documentation to ensure the accuracy of the findings. Data analysis was conducted using the interactive analysis technique by Miles and Huberman, which involves three main stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. These stages were carried out interactively and iteratively, allowing the researcher to continuously filter, organize, and interpret data dynamically. The results of the study show that the principal has implemented several key strategies, including the provision of devices for students and teachers, the integration of web-based applications, and the development of infrastructure to support digital learning. The challenges encountered include limited internet access, resistance from teachers and students, and a lack of training for teachers. The principal addressed these challenges by providing continuous training for teachers, improving internet connectivity, and strengthening communication with parents and students.
