Development of KuPin Interactive Media Using the ADDIE Model to Enhance Elementary Students’ Learning Motivation in Integrated Science

This study aims to develop and evaluate an interactive learning media, KuPin (Kucing Pintar), to enhance elementary students’ learning motivation in integrated science (IPAS). The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The product was tested in two different elementary school contexts involving students, teachers, and expert validators. Data were collected using validation sheets, student response questionnaires, motivation questionnaires, and observation sheets, and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The results indicate that KuPin achieved a high level of validity, with expert validation scores ranging from 84% to 86% (very valid). The practicality results show that the media is easy to use, efficient, and well accepted by students, categorized as practical to very practical. In terms of effectiveness, although the statistical test showed no significant difference in motivation between groups (p > 0.05), observational findings revealed increased student engagement, attention, and participation during learning activities. These findings suggest that KuPin provides consistent motivational support across different learning contexts. This study concludes that KuPin is a valid, practical, and context-adaptive interactive learning media that contributes to enhancing students’ motivation and supports student-centered learning in elementary education.
