HUBUNGAN SELF-ESTEEM DAN PERCEIVED PARENTAL EXPECTATIONS TERHADAP CAREER DECISION SELF-EFFICACY PADA SISWA SMA

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan self-esteem dan perceived parental expectations terhadap career decision self-efficacy (CDSE) pada siswa SMA, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Sampel berjumlah 300 siswa dari salah satu SMA negeri di Kabupaten Jepara yang dipilih melalui teknik stratified random sampling berdasarkan rumus Slovin. Instrumen penelitian meliputi Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale (RSES), Skala Perceived parental expectations dari Sasikala dan Karunanidhi, serta Career and Educational Decision Self-Efficacy Inventory for Secondary Students (CEDSIS). Analisis data menggunakan regresi linear berganda dengan bantuan SPSS versi 26. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa self-esteem berhubungan positif dan signifikan dengan CDSE (β = 0,181; p = 0,001), demikian pula perceived parental expectations (β = 0,453; p < 0,001) sebagai prediktor lebih dominan. Secara simultan, kedua variabel menjelaskan 29,8% variasi CDSE (Adjusted R² = 0,298; F = 64,544; p < 0,001). Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa efikasi diri pengambilan keputusan karier terbentuk melalui interaksi faktor internal dan eksternal, sehingga memiliki implikasi bagi pengembangan layanan bimbingan karier yang berfokus pada penguatan aspek personal siswa serta optimalisasi keterlibatan orang tua dalam perencanaan karier.
