Abstract

Keterampilan berbicara bahasa inggris merupakan keterampilan yang penting dimiliki siswa agar kelak mampu berkomunikasi secara internasional. Namun berdasarkan hasil observasi menunjukkkan fakta keterampilan berbacara bahasa inggris siswa kelas VIII masih rendah. Sehingga perlu dilakukan upaya untuk meningkatkannya, diantaranya menerapkan metode pembelajaran bermain peran. Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara melalui metode bermain peran pada siswa Kelas VIII SMP IT Tazkia Insani . Subjek penelitian adalah pada siswa kelas VIII SMP IT Tazkia Insani yang berjumlah 31 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan keterampilan berbicara bahasa inggris siswa meningkat pada setiap siklus. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan metode pembelajaran bermain peran dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa kelas VIII SMP IT Tazkia Insani Majalengka.
