Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesulitan yang dialami mahasiswa dalam menulis karya tulis ilmiah. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 18 mahasiswa yang pernah menyusun karya tulis ilmiah. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penyebaran angket terbuka dan dokumentasi. Data dianalisis melalui tahap reduksi data, coding, kategorisasi tema, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesulitan yang paling dominan dialami mahasiswa terletak pada aspek metode penelitian dan penyusunan latar belakang dengan persentase masing-masing sebesar 38,9%. Selain itu, mahasiswa juga mengalami kesulitan dalam mencari referensi ilmiah dan menentukan judul penelitian. Kesulitan tersebut disebabkan oleh rendahnya kemampuan literasi akademik, kurangnya pengalaman penelitian, serta minimnya latihan menulis ilmiah secara berkelanjutan. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan menulis karya tulis ilmiah tidak hanya berkaitan dengan kemampuan teknis menulis, tetapi juga berkaitan dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis, pemahaman metodologis, dan kemampuan literasi akademik.Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi bahwa perguruan tinggi perlu memberikan pendampingan yang lebih intensif melalui pelatihan penulisan akademik, penguatan literasi ilmiah, serta pembelajaran metodologi penelitian yang lebih aplikatif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis karya tulis ilmiah mahasiswa.
