Abstract

Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di salah satu pengrajin tahu-tempe yang beralamat di Kelurahan Tallung lipu, Rantepao. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan briket arang bambu petung sebagai bahan bakar penganti kayu bakar yang sering digunakan pengrajin tahu-tempe ini untuk meminimalkan penggunaan kayu bakar yang proses pembelian sudah meningkat. Metode pengabdian dilakukan dengan metode experimental dengan memanfaatkan bambu petung sebagai bahan bakar penganti kayu. Dimana di awali dengan demonstrasi pembuatan briket mulai proses pengarangan, penghalusan arang, pencampuran serta pencetakan briket. Kemudian penerapannya briket sebagai bahan bakar pada tungku pemanasan pengrajin dalam memasak bahan dasar tahu-tempe. Setelah dilakukan demonstrasi langsung terlihat masyarakat dalam ini pengrajin tahu-tempe merasa puas dengan penyalaan briket arang itu sendiri karena penyalaan bertahan lama dalam memasak bahan-dasar tempe yang menghemat produksi tempe mereka.
